Experienced Independent Project Coordinator

On behalf of our client, a foreign developer based on the coast of Montenegro, we are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support the construction team in management of the initial stage of the project.

You will be expected to:

·       Drive the pre-construction and construction phase of a residential and hotel project on the coast;

·       Lead or participate in selection and appointment of contractors and consultants, negotiate terms of contracts;

·       Prepare and/or approve detailed scopes of works for designers, consultants, cost managers, contractors, MEP consultants and other technical consultants;

·       Actively cooperate with designers, engineers, consultants and contractors involved in the projects, monitoring their delivery, meeting milestones, promptly dealing with faults or delays;

·       Handle all procedural aspects of preparing, submitting and obtaining governmental and municipal approvals in each stage of the project, such as planning permission, building permits, completion certifications, occupancy permits etc.

·       Ensure the delivery of all parts of project in required quality, time and budget via the management of all phases, packages and contractors engaged in individual projects;

·       Hold regular meetings, keep the information flow and prepare progress reports for the investor;

In order to succeed, you fulfill the following criteria:

·       Degree in civil engineering, building management or similar area;

·       Min. 5 years experience in pre-construction and construction phase within the region, ideally on a large scale project in an international environment;

·       Prior project management experience either as a consultant or as a part of the development team;

·       Strong understanding of the project management, procurement, negotiation and appointment of contractors, consultants, engineers, architects etc.’

·       Track record of a successful delivery of mixed use projects;

·       Independent and initiative, able to drive projects forward and meet deadlines;

·       Knowledge of Montenegrin building and permitting regulations;

·       Strong leader with ability to act as a strong example, motivate and lead others to their best performance;

·       Excellent communicator in both English and Montenegrin languages;
